Mauro Ramirez Employment Attorney.jpg

Since 2007, Mauro has devoted his career to litigating discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unlawful termination, and other matters related to the workplace in Houston and across the State of Texas. Since founding his own law firm, Mauro’s mission is to apply his experience, dedication, and hard work to representing individuals and helping them protect their rights under all areas of employment law.

Before founding his own firm, Mauro gained skills and insights while working as a labor and employment attorney at two of the largest law firms in the country. As a Partner at a national firm dedicated to employment matters, he represented individuals, small businesses, and some of the world’s largest corporations in a broad variety of matters and industries before juries, judges, and arbitrators. In doing so, he gained a deep understanding for how employers and their attorney’s approach workplace disputes. He now applies these insights to representing individuals.

Mauro’s number one priority is to provide a client-centered approach aimed at learning your particular circumstances, explaining your rights and the legal process, and working with you step-by-step to assure that you understand your decisions and achieve a positive outcome.

Mauro was born and raised in South Texas and attended the University of Texas School of Law. Rain or shine, they got up and went to work every day. His parents immigrated to Texas from Mexico, where life was difficult and opportunities were limited.   Through good times and bad, they never wavered in their commitment to earning a living in a responsible manner and their belief that, through those efforts, their sons could one day have a better life. They achieved their goal, and, in doing so, Mauro learned the values of hard work, persistence, and dedication.

His family could not have succeeded without the right to fair and just conditions in the workplace, with an equal opportunity to earn a living based on merit and effort. If these rights have been undermined, individuals have the right to accessible, responsive, transparent, and high-quality legal representation in order to achieve just results.

Mauro regularly writes and speaks regarding employment issues and trends. He is fluent in Spanish.

Among other distinctions, Mauro is Board Certified in the Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (less than one percent of lawyers licensed in Texas have achieved this certification), has been rated as a Texas Rising Star by Thompson Reuters, and has been admitted to the Texas Bar College. Mauro has been recognized by the University of Texas School of Law as an “Extraordinary Alumni.”

Mauro also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law, teaching Labor Law.
